EASY – look no further than the Privilege Aluxes which sits on the famous, but largely undiscovered, North Beach that boasts white sand, calm turquoise water, and one of the best sunsets you will see anywhere in the world! The hotel itself has an all-inclusive option that is a TREMENDOUS value. Now, some people on trip advisor seem to think that the food leaves much to be desired, but I’ve had quite the opposite experience. My lady lover and I have been to this hotel 4 times over the past 3 years, and the food has been excellent (mad props to the super chic Café del Mar)!!!! And if nothing else, the upgrade to the all-inclusive package is worth it for the drinks alone – SERIOUSLY, check out their prices on the website! Better yet, you can get a steal by booking a flight/hotel deal through Expedia!!! We have been SO impressed with this little diamond in the rough, that we decided to host 50 guests here at our own wedding last May. And let me tell you – everyone is still ranting and raving over the experience! And some folks have traveled extensively!!
Now, we decided to have our actual wedding at the more private Zama Beach Club on the island (more on that in an upcoming blog), however, the Privilege hotel offers an extremely affordable wedding package for you and your guests, without sacrificing luxury. And if you’re really looking to score some brownie points with your hot bride, then you should splurge a bit and book the Platinum Suite. Seriously, you tell me where in the world you can find a luxury two-story suite with a private plunge pool/deck overlooking the ocean, living room and kitchenette, and 2 bathrooms for around $310 per night. Not to mention the shower in the top level bathroom has a door that opens up and looks out over the crystal blue waters – you can actually see Cancun while you are taking a shower! And by the way, that $310 a night includes the all-inclusive package for 2 people!!!!!! Hell, I paid that for a hotel room at the Marriott in Chicago. So there it is guys – MY SECRET IS OUT!!!! Trust me – you will not be disappointed, and your bride will definitely be thanking you (and hopefully rewarding you –wink, wink) for this recommendation, and can now spend the rest of her time stressing out over the little things that don’t mean a damn thing to any of us!
