Second post today! Whoohoo! I’m so behind in my posts it’s not even funny! We have so many inspiration submissions in waiting and I feel just terrible that I haven’t been able to get to them yet, so I am just working my little fanny off trying to get them all up. I’m not stopping to eat, do the laundry, or shower…well maybe shower. And maybe a diet Coke here and there. And maybe a date with a winery this evening. And I CAN’T WAIT. It’s one of my faves. But first, I thought I’d get this to you, so don’t worry. You’re still my number one priority around here. And trust me when I say you’re going to L-O-V-E this sweet Moroccan theme wedding complete with rich, vibrant blues and purples, belly dancers and hookahs! Kerena and Michael From the Couple’s Wedding Website: “Michael and Karena met in Miami, FL at a venue called ‘Iguanas’ in 1997. It was a local hotspot with loud music, big screen TV’s and pool tables. Michael and his friends went there to play pool and have a beer. Karena worked there and ended up being his waitress. Although Mike considered himself an above average billiards player, he somehow didn’t play very well that night. All he remembers is his friends kept telling him: ‘You have to keep your eye on the ball, Mike, not the girl!” Needless to say that night ended early…But this is not where their story begins. A few months later, Karena walks into a car dealer looking for another job, and as you’ve probably guessed by now, Michael just happened to work there. ‘Once is chance, but twice is destiny.’ This was the begining of their adventurous but brief courtship. After less than a year, their young hearts had to part ways but only for a little while…TEN years later…Michael stumbles onto Karena’s MySpace page, and can’t believe his eyes! Could this be his long lost love? He couldn’t resist and had to reach out. After several messages, she finally responded, and this is where their fairytale finally begins. ‘Our first date was one with few spoken words, all we could do was stare into each others eyes and smile’ Ever since that night, we’ve been inseparable, never leaving each other’s side, and keeping our hearts close to one another. Although nowadays we have many nights where we enjoy long talks, we still have many nights where all we can do is stare into each others eyes and smile uncontrollably. We will always have that! ‘Once is chance, twice is destiny, but the third time is GOD’s hand bringing you together’”
Love their love story! What do you think? That quote at the end (“Once is chance, twice is destiny, but the third time is GOD’s hand bringing you together”) caught me off guard for a moment. Not a haha or lol kind of moment. More of a OMG that is so incredibly sweet and I wasn’t the least bit ready for that kind of moment. I had to choke down a knot in my throat and a tear in my eye as it tried to surface. But don’t worry, I’m good now.
